Un ermita\u00f1o nacido en Auvergne en 1046, hijo del vizconde Thiers. San Esteban de Grandmont fue educado junto al arzobispo de Benevento y se consagr\u00f3 a Dios, viviendo con gran austeridad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Su tipo de vida, dedica a las alabanzas divinas, atrajo disc\u00edpulos hasta el 8 de febrero de 1124, cuando falleci\u00f3 y los que le segu\u00edan se retiraron a la soledad de Grandmont.
